Flat Tire Chitchat
So I got a flat tire yesterday. Spent quite a lot of time trying to find a garage who could fix it, but then just at the end of Thanh Nien street there’s a guy standing in front of the park, with a bicycle pump in his hands. So (with my broken Vietnamese) I asked him if he could also fix motorcycle’s tires. He smiled, then said yes.

Oh You Well-Dressed Man, You...
I love Hanoi, I really do. It’s a beautiful well-proportioned city, with so many enchanting landmarks. And lakes. How I love lakes. And kitsch. I’m crazy about kitsch. Sure, every now and then, some traveling indie musicians do hold their small gigs here, and yeah I’ve had my dose of music-other-than-those-vietnamese-pop-or-disco-music… still...

I miss having our yadda yadda obnoxious...
Oh the yadda yadda. Oh the mindgasms.
But that was long time ago. When you were still curious. And I was still pretentious.
And you were using all your might to stay sane, and me, oh well I guess I was just being inane.
What a long time ago. Philosophical discussions over coffee. You’re a snob. And for an angsty teenager, that means a heartthrob.
And me now, years away. I am proud to...
